Cruzeiro Safaris · Pickup in Nairobi
A 4-hour guided trip around Karen: hand-feeding the giraffes at the Giraffe Centre, then the farmhouse where Karen Blixen lived, then a bead workshop. Pick it if you want one price with every entry fee already paid.

This is the gentle half day in Karen, no game drive and no dawn start. Your guide collects you from one of more than 100 pickup points across Nairobi, from Westlands and the city centre to Upper Hill and Karen itself, and the day starts at the Giraffe Centre in Lang'ata. You feed Rothschild's giraffe, now usually classified as the Nubian giraffe, from the raised platform, hear how AFEW Kenya began in 1979 with two young giraffes called Daisy and Marlon, and can walk the nature trail down towards the Gogo River.
Next comes the Karen Blixen Museum. The house was built in 1912, Karen Blixen lived there from 1917 to 1931, and it opened as a museum in 1986, per the National Museums of Kenya; the listing ties it to Out of Africa. From the garden you look towards the Ngong Hills. The last stop is a bead craft centre near the museum, which the listing names as Kazuri, for a look at hand-made beads and necklaces.
What sets it apart is the price line. Every entry fee is included, per the listing, so the KSh 1,500 giraffe ticket and the museum's US$17 non-resident fee (National Museums of Kenya 2026 schedule, eCitizen only) are handled for you. Only tips stay in your pocket. The listing also offers dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant afterwards as an add-on.
Your guide collects you from your hotel or one of the listed pickup points: the listing names more than 100, from Westlands to the city centre.
Feed the giraffes pellets from the platform with the centre's educators beside you, then hear the story of the centre and its breeding work.
The 1.5 km sanctuary trail heads down towards the Gogo River and a viewpoint over the Ngong Hills, if time allows.
A guided tour of the 1912 farmhouse and its garden, with the story of Blixen's years on the coffee farm.
A short stop at the craft centre near the museum to see how the ceramic beads are made and browse the shop.
Back to your pickup point, or on to the Carnivore Restaurant if you added dinner.
